President's Message

I hope everyone had a great first full week of school!

It was wonderful seeing so many new faces at our PTA Social on Friday! If you weren't able to make it, don't worry! Please click on the volunteer interest form linked below to learn more about our volunteer opportunities and sign up to help! Volunteer interest forms must be submitted by 8.26!

We have a full week of PTA activities ahead and we love to see you there! Please see below for more detailed info:

We already have several incredible Sign Up Parties submitted, but we are still looking for more! Consider hosting a party to help fund improvements at MGE. Sign up parties submissions are due 9.4! Contact Catherine with any questions.

Have you manually updated your children's teachers in the PTA Directory? If not, you will miss out on important updates and reminders! Although your child's grade is automatically updated in the directory, parents need to manually updated their homeroom teacher for the year. Even if you are a PTA member, you still need to create/update your account on www.mgeptatx.org.

Spirit Wear

Unable to shop the 26-27 Spirit Wear at Meet the Teacher? Our online spirit wear store is now open! From now through THIS FRIDAY 8/28, shop our 26-27 school spirit wear online.

All sizes and styles are available- In stock items will be delivered to classrooms within 2 weeks, and out of stock items will be ordered and delivered to classrooms by mid to late September. This is the last order of this spirit wear, so don't wait!

PTA Membership is for Everyone!

MGE Parents & Families - we want YOU to join the MGE PTA for the 2026-2027 school year to help our kids have the best year possible. Registration is now open, you can easily join at www.joinpta.org.

A few important reminders:

Each School Supply Kit includes 1 membership.
All family members are welcome and invited to join the MGE PTA! Don’t forget to purchase memberships for both parents, grandparents, etc.
Joining the MGE PTA is a great way to show school support and allows you to attend membership meetings. A portion of every membership goes directly into programming, and helps with educational advocacy at the state level by Texas PTA.

Your child's class directory will now be online. Please logon to the PTA website at www.mgeptatx.org and create an account.

Please update your teacher name after you know which class they are assigned.

By having an active account assigned to your child's teacher, you will receive important class newsletters and information.

Fifth Grade Scoop

Hello, 5th Grade Parents!

We are asking for your support as we celebrate the Class of 2027!

Your contribution will go toward:

The commemorative Fifth Grade Class T-shirt
The End-of-Year Party in May
Graduation during the last week of school

Please submit payment no later than Monday, August 31, as the T-shirts need to be ordered as soon as possible to ensure they arrive in time for the Fifth Grade Class yearbook photo.

T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after August 31. After this date, students will be assigned from the sizes that are still available. No reorders will be available.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Fifth Grade Events Chair, Stephane Maia.

Help Fund the Fun! Homeroom Party Fund

PTA will be hosting Fall and Spring parties for our students. We are asking for a $10.00 contribution to the party fund per student to support this endeavor. Only online payments will be accepted. Please visit our MGE PTA Online Store at https://www.mgeptatx.org/. Thanks!
