What a wonderful first week back! We hope everyone had a great first few days and is settling into the new school year with smiles and excitement!

Looking Ahead

There is lots to look forward to in the weeks ahead, and we can’t wait to share more about upcoming PTA events, school activities, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved.

Our PTA Meet and Greet Social is 8/21 at 10:00 am in the LGA. We hope to see you there to welcome you to the school and help you learn more about the volunteer opportunities we have at MGE. We have volunteer opportunities for everyone! Email Jen at vips@mgeptatx.org with questions.

We’re also bringing back Sign Up Parties! Consider hosting a party to help fund improvements at MGE. Contact Catherine with any questions.

Reminder: Be sure to visit www.mgeptatx.org for the PTA calendar, programs, fundraisers, spirit wear, event tickets, and student directory. It is free to create an account on the site. New families should create an account, and returning families should update their child’s teacher assignment to make sure they receive PTA communications and are included in the directory. Creating an account is the ONLY way to make sure your info is listed in the family directory.

PTA Membership is for Everyone!

MGE Parents & Families - we want YOU to join the MGE PTA for the 2026-2027 school year to help our kids have the best year possible. Registration is now open, you can easily join at www.joinpta.org.

A few important reminders:

Each School Supply Kit includes 1 membership.
All family members are welcome and invited to join the MGE PTA! Don’t forget to purchase memberships for both parents, grandparents, etc.
Joining the MGE PTA is a great way to show school support and allows you to attend membership meetings. A portion of every membership goes directly into programming, and helps with educational advocacy at the state level by Texas PTA.

To Do Today...Directory Signup!

Your child's class directory will now be online. Please logon to the PTA website at www.mgeptatx.org and create an account.

Please update your teacher name after you know which class they are assigned.

By having an active account assigned to your child's teacher, you will receive important class newsletters and information.

Volunteer Corner

Calling all MGE Volunteers! Our Volunteer Social is Friday Aug. 21 at 10am in the LGA! Come meet our PTA chairs, connect with other MGE parents and learn about all the ways you can help throughout the school year. Make sure to bring a friend because getting involved is always more fun with a buddy!

If you cannot make the Volunteer Social but still want to get involved, no worries! Just fill out the Volunteer Interest Form linked below or through our website. Email Jen at vips@mgeptatx.org with any questions. See you Friday!

PTA will be hosting Fall and Spring parties for our students. We are asking for a $10.00 contribution to the party fund per student to support this endeavor. Only online payments will be accepted. Please visit our MGE PTA Online Store at https://www.mgeptatx.org/. Thanks!

Unable to shop the 26-27 Spirit Wear at Meet the Teacher? Our online spirit wear store is now open! From now through 8/28, shop our 26-27 school spirit wear online.

All sizes and styles are available- In stock items will be delivered to classrooms within 2 weeks, and out of stock items will be ordered and delivered to classrooms by mid to late September. This is the last order of this spirit wear, so don't wait!
